The Spirits of Bulbs

E.F. Marsak combines his writing, footage from Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film ‘Dreams’, and photographs from Stephanie Schneider’s 2006 publication ‘Stranger than Paradise’ backed by an original score for his first ever public video.

The video begins to describe a night in a hotel room with an arriving guest to quickly pivot to his problems with online dating. He may meet someone who gives him the butterflies he is in search of, but does he deserve her?
